Teeth Bonding

Teeth bonding is done by your cosmetic dentist with a composite resin filling placed in the back teeth as well as over the front teeth.

Teeth Bonding composites are the a great solution for restoring decayed teeth, making cosmetic dentistry improvements and even changing the color of your teeth or changng the shape of teeth.

Teeth Bonding can lighten any stains you may have, fill in minor gaps and can be used to correct teeth that are crooked.

Essentially, teeth bonding can cover any natural flaws applying a thin coating of a plastic material on the front surface of your teeth.

After this, your cosmetic dentist will apply a teeth bonding material and sculpt, color and shape it to provide a pleasing result. A high-intensity ultra-violet light then hardens the material, and the surface is finely polished.

For more in depth information visit our teeth bonding page.

White Fillings

White fillings are now offered by your cosmetic dentist as either a substitute for or a replacement of existing amalgam fillings. This has come about because the prevailing international scientific opinion is that amalgam is possibly toxic because it contains trace amounts of mercury. In the United States as of September, 2006 the FDA has has rejected prior reports as to the safety of amalgam and has stated that “further study is needed”.

Aesthetically white fillings are much better looking making your neccessary fillings nearly invisible to the naked eye.

Teeth filled with white fillings are less sensetive to heat and cold, are mecury-free and require less removal of the tooth itself in order to create the actual filling.

Porcelain Crowns

In the old days dental crowns always had to be made with a metal foundation. With today’s cosmetic dentists you have the option of getting pure porcelain crowns on most of your teeth.

Bonding technology has improved to the place that even for back teeth porcelain crowns can be used in a process called porcelain onlay. This minimizes the amount of tooth that has to be removed to accommodate the metal structure used in traditional crowns.

In some exceptional cases, because of the wear and tear involved, such as with the back teeth, a metal or implant crown is still preferred.

For more information about both porcelain crowns and implant crowns visit our crowns page.

Implant Crowns

Implant Crowns are the preferred solution used by your cosmetic dentist when it comes to replacing a missing tooth lost to decay, extraction, accident or to replace uncomfortable dentures.

Implant Crowns can be done for one tooth, several teeth or, in certain instances, your entire mouth.

A dental implant is a replacement tooth root that is made of metal, usually titanium, that is anchored into your jawbone and supports the Implant Crown. Over time the bone grows around the implant just like a normal tooth. Because the root is now titanium metal it is actually even stronger than a natural tooth.

For more information and to see if this treatment is right for you visit our Implant Crown page.

Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain Veneers, also known as dental veneers or porcelain laminates, are very thin porcelain shells that are bonded to the front of your teeth in order to create a cosmetic dentistry improvement to the tooth.

With Porcelain Veneers your cosmetic dentist can help you fix discolored teeth, worn or chipped teeth and even misaligned teeth.

Using the time tested techniques of dental bonding your cosmetic dentist fixes the natural tooth to make a very strong, durable and beautiful natural looking finished tooth.

Because of the semi-tranparent, translucent nature of the Porcelain Veneer your smile will look very natural, much like normal tooth enamel.
